Studying the passage - Read 1 Timothy 6:3 - 6:21.

1) What characteristics and motives do the false teachers have in verses 3-5?

2) What has happened in Ephesus because of this?

3) According to this passage, what should our attitude to material possessions be?

4) What are the dangers of being rich?

5) What are the dangers of being poor?

6) What was Paul’s final charge to Timothy? Why do you think he ended the letter this way?

Based on your understanding of the Scriptures, what would be the best way to love someone who is poor by the world’s standards? (i.e. What would God want you to do with your heart, hands and mouth?)
