I have a friend
I have a friend to whom I take
All my troubles and my cares
I speak to him when I'm awake
In frequent silent mental prayers
For in my mind my life he shares

He shares my joy
He shares my pain
When 'ere I fall on life's rough path
He helps me to climb up again

He was the one that raised the dead
Through Him again the blind could see
I am so proud within my heart
That He could be a friend to me

You too can share his bountious love
With you my Christ I'll gladly share
He'll take you to his home above
Forever you'll be in his care

Salvation
Salvation, salvation we Christian people sin
As we await the coming of Jesus Christ our King
In all things now be careful don't let your footsteps roam
For Jesus Christ is coming to take his people home

We must help our neighbours
Our enemies as well
To keep them both from spending
An eternity in Hell

We must convince them
It is best to turn away from sin
To open up their hearts
And let the Son of God come in

When we go against God's will
Our lives are filled with strife
Come to me says Jesus
"I'll give you eternal life"

I paid upon that wooden cross
The ransom for your soul
So you might enter in God's house
My love has made you whole

We thank you shepherd Jesus
For the work that you have done
To gather in God's wayward sheep
And save them one by one

Now keep us in your care dear Lord
Until that wonderous day
When you return from Heaven
To help us on our way

Self Made Man
I was a rebel far from God
It was the path of sin I trod
Heart filled with pride I went my way
I gave no thought to Judgement Day

"I'm my own man I proudly said
I'll stay that way 'til I am dead"
After death, what then? A small voice cried
It was that one, the crucified

Before the judge alone you'll stand
There will be none to hold your hand
Be reconciled this day to God
Repent those wicked paths you've trod

Believe in me for I have bought
Your freedom in that Heavenly court
I paid that price upon the tree
I bought it with my agony

So you'd be spared the shame of sin
Heaven's gate will ope' and let you in
You'll bear no grief you'll not be stoned
For all your sins I have atoned

Such is my gracious love for you
Tell me now, What will you do?
You know me Lord I've been a fool
I will accept Your Holy rule

You bought me out of sin my Lord
With a price that I could not afford
Henceforth I'm yours, teach my thy ways
And I will serve you all my days

And when my days on earth are o'er
And I come to that other shore
What joy I'll find in that dear place
For I shall meet you face to face

For you who are proud, who keep your cool
Don't be a self reliant fool
But place your trust in Christ the guide
He'll help you overcome your pride

He'll free you from both sin and strife
And give to you eternal life
Accept him now no time to blink
It's always later than you think
